Non randomness of metastases?

Filed under: Letters from Ionia — Tags: — zankaon @ 2:40 am

Perhaps metastases in part might be due to inflammatory site in venules, as perhaps for colon cancer metastases. That is, a venule slight inflammatory site, with secondary platelets, and other inflammatory cells ‘stopping by’. Hence release of inflammatory and growth kinins. Hence a favorable environment from the perspective of metastatic cell? Hence a role for statins (in spite of some studies?), statistically speaking, in prevention of metastases? TMM
