Sunneyev Zeldovich effect; standard candle

Filed under: Letters from Ionia — Tags: — zankaon @ 8:58 pm

Globular clusters are essentially devoid of compact objects. Therefore all supernovae are asymmetrical. This would not be consistent with a good standard candle. Rather extensive cluster data bases and Sunneyev Zeldovich effect (SZ effect) as a redshift independent distant indicator would appear to be a very good standard candle. No decrease of such effect on deeper redshift would not be consistent with accelerating universe model. TMM
